Hi all, you know matrix right?? The green color , the falling letter, shiny and everything. Now we want to make one in Adobe Illustrator CS4. In this tutorial I am gonna use the “Omeoo” name though. So let’s get it done, then.
Step01
Type your text, in here I used Franklin Gothic Heavy 120 pt, set the tracking into 75. If you can’t find the tracking, it’s in window>type>character (ctrl+t)
Step02
Make it have no fill color and stroke,
then go to appearance box, select the dropdown menu>add new fill.
Make it green
Step03
Now go to effect>blur>Gaussian blur. And make the Radius 1.5 pixels. Click ok.
Step04
And then make another fill, select the dropdown menu>add new fill. Make it green (the same color as step02).
Step05
Select the new fill and go to effects >distort>ocean ripple. Change the ripple size into 2 and ripple magnitude into 10. Click ok.
Step06
This is how it should look like.
Select the whole type, and go to effects>sketch water paper. Change the fiber into 5, brightness into 65, and contrast into 85. Click ok.
Step07
This is how it should look like.
Then in the appearance box activate the fill that has ocean ripple in it, and click the triangle beside it, go to opacity and set it into hard light .
Step08
Copy(ctrl+c) and make a new layer, then paste in place (ctrl+f).
Step09
Select the type in the new layer. Resize, and rearrange it.
Since there are no motion blur, let’s just make do with what we have, radial blur. So, make the opacity into 50 %, go to effects>blur>radial blur. Make the amount 15, blur method into zoom, and the quality into draft. And point the blur, into the center in the lower part.
Step10
This is how it should look like, repeat step09, this time in the lower part. And in the radial blur box, set the point of the blur into the upper center area.
