In Indonesia, Chinese New Year shares similarities compared to Muslim Lebaran – Ramadhan.

One of the symbolic representation is as a time for reunion. As human beings, we often forget who we are, where we come from, and tend to have our own self-ego without thinking toward others, especially our own families – parents. Similar to Muslim Ramadhan, we seek forgiveness from the ones who have given us life to the world. Let’s not forget, we have differences as human beings, however one may say that there always a way to find solution and to overcome them.

In Chinese culture, New Year’s eve dinner is the most important thing to celebrate passing through from the previous to the new year together with families.

Let’s come together, Gong Xi Fat Choi!

May the year of horse bring good luck and good fortune always be with you.
