When designing a website, it is important to know the browser trend. Browser is user’s tool to access our web pages. There are many browsers people may use today. Each browser has their own compatibility to web pages. This is why it is important to develop web pages that can appear perfectly in all browsers.
But to do that thing is almost impossible because each browser have different way in interpreting layout design code. So your page may be look sweet in one browser, but disaster in other browser.

All we have to is understanding the browser trend. Just take a look of what most people use today, and focus to work on the compatibility of the top listed browser. Let’s see today’s browser trend according to W3Schools.com (by October 2009).
- Firefox lead the browser trend with 47,5% using it as their main browser.
- IE follow at the second place with 37.5%. IE 7 is the most used version (14.1%)
- Far behind that, the third place belongs to new comer Google Chrome with 8%
- Opera and Safari are on the next place with just below 5%
